What? Another Blog about the new Blood Bowl Edition? I know right! I spoil you all!
First of all, I just want to say that I LOVE THE NEW NECROMANTIC MODELS! If you haven’t seen them yet, check them out here, they’re absolutely hilarious, in all the best ways! We also got a slight change in the rules in the new Necromantic Wraiths.
So what exactly has changed? Well let’s compared the stats, shall we?
0-2 Necromantic Wights (BB-2016):
MA6, STR3, AG3(4+), AV8(9+)
(Would be safe to assume PA would be 5+ based on the Undead Wight leak)
Block, Regeneration
90,000 Gold
0-2 Necromantic Wraiths (BB-2020):
MA6, STR3, AG3+, PA –, AV9+
Block, Foul Appearance, No Hands, Regeneration, Side Step
95,000 Gold
For me, the biggest thing of note is the addition of Side Step. Now, some might think that it would be No Hands, but seeing as it’s usually the Ghouls or Werewolves that do the most ball carrying and scoring, I’m not convinced that it’ll make too much of a difference. Now, along with the Werewolves, Side Step means you can truly rule the sidelines of the pitch as it will take considerable effort to Surf these guys into the crowd. With the new rules, you can even save up 12spp to give them the oh-so coveted Blodgestep, which is very tempting I must say, making them perfect to stick next to an enemy ball carrier and watch as your opponents struggle to remove him, even more so with Foul Appearance included.
I’d definitely be looking to get Guard & Tackle on these guys. SS-Guard is wonderful and going against it can be a real pain. Dodge, of course, is a great Secondary Skill choice and Mighty Blow is always going to be a good option on these guys as well. These guys are going to be well suited for sticking onto key opponents, getting them down then finding another one to harass, while creating openings for your Werewolves to exploit. Or just throw them next to a ball carrier and giggle as they’re forced to dodge away because you can’t block a duvet cover!
Also, the Models for the Necromantic Wraiths are seriously amazing… I want them so bad!

-Nohands not give the option to make 2TD for that Guards at mid league if they die, and doubt can take that guards on firsts games only giving the ball at wights BB2016 for 4 TD on wights, and if one Wraith die forgot, retake the guard have doubt can do it, maybe whip yourself and pray work too.
But have foul apparence “buuuuuh!”
And sidestep on blitzer? Skill its ok but on blitzers not understand. what is point? marking/screening oponent ballcarry? repeat not bad but support with guard is natural rol on this team, sacrifice guard for sidestep is wrong idea srry.
What is you plan for sustain this team on bashy league without guard and problem wraith to take spp? who assist now? Flesh golem dodging with AG2 and MO4? is a joke right?
Too broken lots of tactics, wolf normally is naural stipball option with Frenzy&Block (75-92%).
Then now who take the ball when that happend? and normally this happend on you side close TD line, Bashy teams like lose turns on close TD line, and elves/stunty liked run/dodge so fast.
– Zombi/Flesh golem? ofc is a joke.
– Same wolf? you blitz cant throw this turn and spend MO+FrenzyMO, doubt can move so much.
– The other wolf? Normally they not use on same side, and is 2th on chain move ball for TD.
– Ghoul? normally stay on oponent camp at distance TD, TD last turn can Win/draw alot games.
*** BB2016:
Wolf+Wight with guard assistance on each side.
First wolf Blitz and Stripball, First Wight take a ball and move to other wolf/wight and give ball to him, second wolf or second wight move to ghoul (him previous at distance TD) and give the ball, and ghoul take TD.
Souns complicated? not really and this strategy win/draw alot games,
Wight assistance with guard help alot for surf any oponent with wolf, is a perfect old duo.
So srry but dont like this change. Im not expert ongame, i start with ork then chaos (friend teams for all people i know xD) and necros is my real choice out of newbie teams, liked alot them, but this no-hands srry but hate it.
