2020 was a pretty tough year all things considered, however as a small ray of positivity, GRUMMBL actually had it’s best performing year! The League has grown with a huge variety of coaches, from stubborn veterans to fresh-faced newcomers, all wielding a lovely mix of different teams. Season Four is also well under-way, roughly about halfway through the League stage with some pretty interesting standings going on while the Coaches battle to grab a Promotion, or escape Relegation.

The Website itself, for the longest time used as just as a tool for the League, has also grown MASSIVELY over the past year thanks to our amazing content writers. In December 2020 alone, we hit 20,000 page views which is more than the entirety of 2019!

So in terms of Blood Bowl 2021, we have a few plans going forward!

The League

As mentioned, Season Four is well underway and is likely to be finished around April. Season Five will, of course, happen soon after and we may even the very beginning of Season Six before 2022 if we’re lucky! We’re always chatting behind the scenes on how to improve the league, what to do with the influx of players we seem to get each time and how best to keep things running smoothly for all of our Coaches.

Blood Bowl 3

With the semi-announcement for BB3 entering beta in early 2021, many have been wondering what we’re going to do. Well, we can’t give you a definitive answer just yet but eventually, we do plan on moving that way, maybe not entirely in 2021 but certainly to a degree. We’ll need to see how many of our Coaches are going to be buying and moving over and we’ll need to see what the Team release schedule is like for the game, as we quite like variety in our leagues and don’t want to lock-out players who cant coach their favourite team.

Blood Bowl 2021 Content

We’re almost done with the Team Builds for the new edition and for those waiting on the Goblin & Ogre builds, they’re definitely coming in early 2021 once the writing gits are done recovering from New Years (yes it takes them that long!) Eventually, we hope to have multiple authors for each team, giving you all a nice variety of options to work with and some different insights. We’ll also make sure to adapt any to Blood Bowl 3 should there be any changes, but hopefully both BB3 and BB2020 will remain pretty much identical. They’ll hopefully be some new teams to cover as we get through this new edition.

Some of you may have noticed that we’ve started on our Player Builds as well, beginning with the Black Orc teams. With most of the Team compositions covered, the Players themselves and their skills will likely be the focus for Blood Bowl 2021 in terms of GRUMMBL content.
