Black Orcs Starting Rosters | TV1000

It seems some of the Orcs have separated from their own team and started their own! With the new edition of Blood Bowl we’re also getting some new teams, one of these being the Black Orcs. They are very similar in design to the Lizardmen team, being able to take 6 big bruisers in the aforementioned Black Orcs, up to 12 of the weaker but nimbler Goblins and then finally a single Big Guy, this time in the form of a Trained Troll.

So, let’s have a look at some Black Orcs Starting Rosters!

Trained Troll, 2 ReRolls TV1000 Roster:

Quantity Player/Item TV Cost
6 Black Orcs 540k
5 Goblins 225k
1 Trained Troll 115k
2  Rerolls 120k
Total: 1000k

This build lets you get all of your positionals, 12 players and more importantly I feel, all of your Black Orcs plus the Troll. The Troll is a slightly improved version with his Loner being 3+ now, although it’s not something you want to rely on but at least it’s a little better. You’ll want to save up for that 3rd reroll and of course the apothecary to protect your Black Orcs, but I think with so much Dodge and Brawler being added to the Black Orcs, I think 2 will do you well for the first few games if you’re careful. Goblins aren’t as fast as skinks so GFI’s (or Rush’s as they’re called now) and Pick-Ups will likely be where those rerolls are used. The Black Orcs give you a hard to break through wall, anchored around the Troll who gives you a nice Throw Team Mate platform if you need a last-minute chance!

Going forward you’d want to look at getting that 3rd reroll, followed by an Apothecary.

Black Orcs, 3 ReRolls TV1000 Roster:

Quantity Player/Item TV Cost
6 Black Orcs 540k
6 Goblins 270k
3  Rerolls 180k
Total: 990k

For 10k less and no Troll, you can grab yourself a 3rd Reroll and an extra Goblin for your troubles. This Black Orc starting roster will be a little more reliable than the previous with the extra reroll and no Troll to babysit, so if you’re feeling you need that extra level of safety in your league then I think this would be a good start. For a big guy the Troll isn’t too expensive so it should only take a few games to grab him. If you’re feeling brave you could always drop the 3rd reroll for the Apothecary, but Goblins are cheap enough to throw away.

Mass Goblin TV1000 Roster:

Quantity Player/Item TV Cost
2 Black Orcs 180k
11 Goblins 450k
1 Trained Troll 115k
3  Rerolls 180k
Total: 970k

If you love Goblins, you can always just spam them! You’re probably better off using the actual Goblin team if you want to do this, seeing as they get all the Secret Weapons and two Trolls, but if you’re feeling particularly masochistic you could give it a try. I’ve kept two Black Orcs in to act as blitzers and at least give you some strength on the field. It won’t be good but it might be fun!

Black Orc Starting Rosters, Conclusion:

I’m looking forward to seeing these guys on the table and of course, we’ll be adding more of these builds as we get to grips with the new teams and the new edition as a whole! Check out our Team Builds page to find builds from our other GRUMBBL members and of course Starting Rosters for the other teams!

Gnome Starting Rosters | TV1000 – BB2020

Vampire Thrower

Probably the closest in terms of the old vanilla Vampire player, is the Vampire Thrower. For 110k, you get the classical statline of Strength 4 and AG2+ along with a very, very nice PA2+ and Pass for good measure. The Vampire Thrower very much does what it says on the...
